Staying in England today with Rock/Alternative 5 piece band Amaryllis from London/Surrey.
This is their self-titled EP.
Vixen
The intro of the song first of all reminded me of You Me At Six, but as it goes on it seems to go heavier so even before the vocals I know I'm in for a great song. Sometimes in rock songs they can have these great intros and instrumentals but be let down with the vocals but that's not the case with Amaryllis. Sante's voice isn't too heavy so you might think they'd get lost in the guitar but you'd be wrong, it's so well produced that everything to perfectly clear. The lyrics are what I'd expect from this kind of genre, they're not repetitive but tell a kind of story and I love it! At the end the guitars start in one ear and switch to both it's fantastic crash of guitars, drums and bass which is a fantastic way to end the song.
From the first time I heard Vixen I knew I was in for something special and I was right!
Little White Lies.
The intro starts playing only in my left ear (At first I thought my headphones had died) before going crashing into both. I love that Amaryllis have that long intro it gives the guitars and drums that chance to be own there own and not have to worry about over powering the vocals. I can't really fault this song it's another well produced, fantastically written, powerful rock song that I want to blast out of my speakers at the highest volume just so everyone can appreciate it's amazingness.
Between The Lies.
Is another great song, slightly slower compered to the speed of Little White Lies, still with great power, excellent production, clear vocals, great lyrics and two guitarist who obviously know what they're doing! There's not a lot else I can say, not because it's bad but because it's similar to the other songs so I'd just be repeating myself.
I really enjoyed Amaryllis EP with that mix of power and lighter vocals, it's not something I've really heard before but it really works. In fact it's probably the best rock EP I've heard in a while and I think you should totally check it out.

Victoria: The Lights (Review)
Today we have 4 piece Alternative pop rockers Victoria! Pop rock is probably my favourite genre so I'm really excited about hearing Victoria's spin on it.
Their EP The Lights.
Lights.
There's a long intro of just piano before being joined by guitar riff and drums. It's simple, sweet and catchy pop rock. The vocals are clear, quite soft and really make me want to sing along; the way they're sung reminds me of Matt from Stakeout. I love the lyrics 'Your flaws that make you who are are' are great, plus I can't stop singing the chorus. I really couldn't sit still listening to this song, it had my fingers and foot tapping through out.
Troubled Town.
Wow! Is my first thought. It's starts a slower, softer song with only an acoustic. The vocals are light, very clear and quite high (Not Kellin Quinn high) making me think the singers youngish! I'm in love with Victoria's lyrics they're that little bit deeper than the normal pop rock. They're catchy, beautifully sung and help make the band that little bit different. This is probably my favourite song of the EP!
Ex-lovers.
I was reminded of the Script, the mix of acoustic and electric guitars plus the lyrics have that slight Script about them. This song is the same sort, sweet, catchy style that is Victoria; when people say a pop rock band you might think of someone like Taking Hayley or Stakeout but Victoria have very much put their own spin the on genre that's really made me fall in love with them!
A great EP that I shall stuck in my head for a good while yet :)

Today we are in West London for 5 piece, Alternative Rock band Paladins! I first got to know this band through Twitter.
This is there five song EP: Prologue.
Bitter For Better,
The first thing I notice about the song are the guitar riffs, hard, fast and amazing to listen to! I would love to see them and watch them do it live. The song reminded me a little of Pierce The Veil though I think that was because they both have such epic guitars! Everything about the song is big and powerful from the vocals, to the lyrics and the of course not forgetting the drums! The catchy chaos that hooks you in, so before you know it you'll have listened to whole EP and fall in love with it...
Everything To Gain,
starts off quite softly but at about 20 seconds in the guitars riffs get faster, the drums and bass comes in and it all kind of explodes into a rock heaven in your ears but that only lasts a few seconds before going softer again. Now Lewis vocals join the fun, his style of singing is very strong, powerful and really get me wanting to sing along, though they did remind of the Alex McCable of Silver Story! Lyrics are... I can't quite think of the right words! 'Don't be afraid, to the Phoenix to the flame' they're just fantastic, so strong and bold. I wanted to join in and sing my heart out with them.
The song speeds up ans slows down at the perfect time, everything comes together in amazing way. Second song in and already in love it!
Settle Down, Kids,
Imagine a song that sound like a mix Lower That Atlantis, Young Guns and Pierce The Veil and you're about close to how epic this song sounds! There is only thing I would say about this song, is that Lewis's vocals are not as clever as they have been but apart from that I love all of it. The lyrics are a little darker with 'We're coming for the likes of you' but the fit the harder guitar riffs and drums,
Prologue is turning out to be a amazingly epic EP that I wouldn't be forgetting any time soon!
The Brave,
So.Many.Epic.Guitar.Riffs. Yep they're are so many just in this song! Foot tapping, fingers, drumming and trying not to sing though god I want to. It's one of those songs that's fast and full of power and energy, and with catchy lyrics and brilliant vocals it's another perfect song, I'm seriously impressed with Paladins I knew it was going to be good but this good? I had no idea.
My Hometown Sleeps,
Pierce The Veil is my first thought, it's the guitars again! This song seems heavier, the vocals lower and again not as clear but I love the power in Lewis's voice. The drums in this song are brilliant, fast, crashing with a real rock beat. Everyone song on this EP has been amazing and this one is no exception, Paladins have an incredible style of Alternative Rock that's powerful, catchy, full of energy it's one of the best EP's I've heard for a long time!
One day I hope to see them live so I can hear these amazing tracks at their best, though I don't know if they can get much better.
Paladins I applaud you, this was perfect.

Sorry it's been sooo long since I've done this but I've been busy (Yeah I'm as surprised as you are!) But today I'm back with five piece, indie crush The WillPower from London, I first heard of the band from the vocalist Daniel through Facebook.
These are the demos of some of the songs from their EP!
You Know What I Did Last Summer,
It's light, fun song, quite poppy and as the name suggests it's a summery song. The guitars are catchy, the drums are quick pasted and having me tapping my foot, vocals are unique and that's one of my favourite things the fact that Daniels voice is different and wow he can sing fast! Another one of my favourite things are the lyrics, the way they tell a story and I don't get annoyed that it's too repetitive and I can sing along (If I can keep up..) Though this song has something familiar about it that I can't pit down it's quite a unique song and it's obvious to see these people have talent.
Take Me Out,
Fast, catchy and lyrics you can sing along with, what's not to like? Honestly not a lot. It took me a few times to understand what Daniel was singing in some places but about from that I can't think of anything I didn't like! It's was fast, it's powerful, it'll get stuck in your head, it's different and the lyrics are again telling a story, and it's one of the best things about the band as a whole.
I hope to see WillPower live one day as I'm sure if there live performances are as fun and energetic as the recordings I'd be in for one hell of a show.
The highly anticipated EP comes out later this year! And I can't wait to own these fantastic tracks.

Sorry I've not been here in the last few days but it was my dad's birthday weekend so I've spend it with him, we went to see James Bond! Best Film Ever!!!
Today it's Dive Bella Dive, a 4 piece, post pop band from London, I know their not a real unsigned band but they still deserve more recognition for there music. I first heard Dive Bella Dive when they supported McFly with Taking Hayley in March.
Their song. School, from the first guitar riff I think rock more that pop especially with Barnaby's deep vocals, but with the catchy lyrics that get stuck in your head. Dive Bella Dive are not your classic stuck in your head all the time poppy stuff, they have something most catchy pop doesn't amazing guitars! You can hear them all the way through never losing the riffs or heaver beat of the bass. Giving the band there own style, which at first I wasn't sure I liked but after I've had it on repeat why I've done this review it's growing on me and you'll probably hear me singing this song in the future.
As for live I only know from what I've read from other reviews and it's not been the best! But with every show you get better so by now I'm sure they'd rock you. One last thing the video is pretty fantastic.

Everyone this is The Dead Famous :) A 4 piece rock/pop/indie band from London. I first heard of this band through Twitter.
This is the bands first single Hide Your Halo. I have to admit that the first six second remind me of something out of my dads record collection (not in a bad way) I was thinking Bon Jovi! A air guitar song if ever I heard one, strong rock beat, there's energy but not so it makes me want to jump around but I can imagine how powerful it would be live. I love the vocals and lyrics, strong no chance of being misheard and the last lyrics of the song are just awesome! I don't understand the video and the green screen is not great but not terrible.
The Dead Famous are a really awesome band who I see going fair.

Next one is The Ocean's Eyes are a 5 piece alt/pop punk/rock band from London. These were my favourite support band, fun, lively and full of energy. The crowd loved them and I thought they were pretty good too, Luke the lead singer really went all out jumping off stage and dancing with the crowd and dancing, singing and messing about with Jay (drummer for Taking Hayley) they even ended up on the floor at one point (Luke was still singing) Thought this band were good and fun, I'd defiantly like to see them again, anyone who loves a lively band pop-punk band should see these guys because you'd be stupid not too.

Today's band is the lovely Fletcher!! and there single Dream In The First Place. They're a alternative rock/pop band from London. I first heard this trough Twitter.
My first thought when I started listening to this song has 'wow this is different.' It's a quite a soft song with soft relaxing vocals and a great guitar riff. It's not quite like anything I've heard, something you could have on repeat for hours and never have enough. As I said different but good with a doubt its amazing. This is a band who show real talent and one I know will go fair. I don't what they'd be like live but judging by this song you would not be disappointed.
To sum this band up they're something new worth checking out.

Let's give this a go. My first band's name is Room 94 they're a pop/rock band from North London. I first heard them from a friend who was raving about going to see them so I thought I'd give them a listen.
This song is not a single its from there mini album (Loud Noises) but I just think it's a great song and I wanted to share it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BY4uF-LsZ-Y
The lyrics are quite good though I think "though in" is a bit of a odd rthyme. The vocals aren't amazing but they're not terrible, I think they could be better, I think they need more feeling. all together it's a pretty good song and I'll be listening to more of them and I hope you will to.
